Further down, you will have the chance to admire the Église catholique Notre-Dame-du-Sablon and St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral, spectacular Gothic cathedrals of monumental architecture. The latter is one of the most important landmarks in the city and one of the most extraordinary cathedrals in Europe. It features 64 meters tall towers that you can climb every second and fourth Saturday of the month and enjoy a magnificent view.

The magnificent Royal Palace of Brussels and the Parc de Bruxelles are not to be missed. Take a moment to relax in the Parc du Cinquantenaire, an impressive U-shaped complex including an arc at its center and a 30-hectare park. For many people, the main reasons for visiting Brussels are related to the European Union. The Council of the European Union and the European Commission headquarters are amongst the highlights of the area.

For the last part of your trip, be amazed by a modern rather futuristic building which is considered the symbol of the city, the Atomium. Except for its unique looks, it also offers an escalator to the upper sphere that is the best spot for photographers.
