Romantic Gaomei Wetland at Dusk Gaomei Wildlife Sanctuary is an ecological reserve on the west coast of Taiwan. It is located on the west side of Qingshui District, Taichung City, and includes the outlet of Dajia River. It is a coastal wetland composed of fresh water injection and alternating tides. Its predecessor was originally a bathing beach. Since the sand embankment was built on the north shore of Taichung Harbor, the Dajia River carried sediment here and gradually accumulated into a floating sand zone, becoming the "Gaomei Wetland" seen today.
