Located at the Danube River, Szentendre is a small town with over 600 years of history. It was colonized by many tribes including Hungarians, Germanics, Croatia, and Slavonic, while in the 14th century Greeks and Serbians fled to Szentendre to avoid aggression from the Ottoman Empire. That was the time Szentendre was built. Nowadays, Szentendre has become the town of art and museums in which many artists and painters reside in here.
