- Trip Introduction -

  • Oyster Harvesting Experience: Depending on the coastal tide, you will head out during low tide with local oyster farmers. Equipped with traditional tools and wearing simple black rubber boots, you will follow the farmers through the water. With the guidance and assistance of experienced locals, you will learn to harvest fresh oysters.
  • Beishan Broadcasting Wall: Used during the cross-strait standoff for psychological warfare, these walls were built in Beishan and Mashan. Standing about three stories high, the concrete walls face Xiamen and are equipped with 48 large loudspeakers. It is said that the sound could reach up to 25 kilometers away. 'Dear compatriots in mainland China, hello, I am Teresa Teng...' Teresa Teng's crisp voice would broadcast from these massive speakers. On the front lines of 'psychological warfare,' they broadcast news, propaganda, commentary, and surrender appeals in Mandarin and Hokkien. Whether standing next to the wall or looking up from the cliff below, it is a very popular spot for photos!
  • Beishan Western-style House: Built in 1928 by three brothers from Guningtou—Li Jinyu, Li Yanya, and Li Tianzu—who found success in the coconut trade in Manila, Philippines. Upon returning home, they built this two-story Western-style house with a left side wing in their hometown of Beishan. Due to its elevated position and excellent visibility, it offered a panoramic view of the village, making it strategically valuable. During the Battle of Guningtou, it was occupied by the People's Liberation Army and used as a command post. Having survived intense gunfire and shelling, it stands as a historical testament to Kinmen's role as a frontline in the war.
  • Field Cycling: A special cycling tour is arranged for you to ride through the fields (wheat fields from April to June, sorghum fields from August to November) and experience a different side of Kinmen.
  • Anqi Wind Lion God: Standing 378 cm tall, this is a mud-sculpted, standing male lion. It is currently the largest Wind Lion God on the island. Locals believe the Wind Lion God has the power to 'ward off wind and evil spirits,' and it is even said to have helped eradicate the rampant 'leprosy' at the time. The Anqi Wind Lion God is also said to have once deterred pirates who had just landed, making it the guardian deity of 'Anqi.' After the Battle of Guningtou, the statue was covered in bullet holes, but thanks to repairs made by local troops using cement, it retains its appearance today.
