You can take the MRT to Dingxi Station and walk for about 10-15 minutes from Exit 2 to reach the Museum of World Religions. Additionally, several bus routes stop at "Biyang Plaza" or "Yonghe District Office." From either stop, it's just a few minutes' walk. We recommend using public transportation for convenient access.
With "Respect" and "Universal Brotherhood" as its core spirit, the Museum of World Religions showcases artifacts and art from major global religions through permanent and special exhibitions. These include diverse content such as life rituals, architectural models of world religions, and the Huayan Realm. The museum aims to guide visitors in understanding the wisdom and values of different religions, fostering cross-cultural and interfaith understanding and exchange.
The Museum of World Religions is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is closed every Monday, from Lunar New Year's Eve to the third day of the Lunar New Year, and on any government-announced flexible holidays. We recommend checking the official website for the latest opening information before your visit to help plan your trip.
As the world's first museum dedicated to world religions, its uniqueness lies in its innovative exhibition methods that provide visitors with an immersive experience of different religious cultures. The museum features the "Journey of Life Hall," which presents various religions' interpretations of life, and the "Palace of World Religions," showcasing the architectural essence of different faiths. Interactive guided tours and devices also offer a rich and diverse learning experience.
The permanent exhibition areas of the Museum of World Religions are typically included with a single admission ticket. Special exhibitions may require an additional ticket purchase or offer an upgrade option; specific details are subject to on-site announcements at the museum. We advise you to confirm information about current special exhibitions before purchasing tickets to ensure you can fully experience all the exhibitions you wish to see.
The Museum of World Religions encourages visitors to be respectful during their visit and does not have strict dress code regulations. However, as many of the exhibits contain sacred content, it is recommended to wear neat, comfortable clothing and avoid overly revealing attire to show respect for different religious cultures. The museum maintains a moderate temperature, so you may want to bring a light jacket.
The Museum of World Religions accepts various payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and electronic payments, to facilitate ticket purchases and spending. Regarding the use of cultural credits, we recommend checking the latest information at the ticket counter or through the official website to confirm current applicability.
The Museum of World Religions is very suitable for family visits. Through diverse exhibition formats and interactive installations, the museum introduces world religions in an easily understandable manner, helping to cultivate children's cultural awareness and empathy. Some exhibition areas are also designed with children's perspectives in mind, offering a rich learning experience. We suggest parents guide their children in exploring the mysteries of religion together.
