DMZ Tour from Seoul: JSA Museum & Dora Observatory & 3rd tunnel | KKday
2026/05/15
I've always been curious about the DMZ, this unique area in the world, but Seoul has so many places to explore and scout. This trip finally convinced me to join this tour, and it was absolutely worth it! I initially thought it would be a quick tour, but the large screen on the bus provided a briefing explaining the history of the DMZ and the historical entanglements between North and South Korea. The locations we visited were actually beautified and safed; without the explanation, you wouldn't truly appreciate the historical significance! The third tunnel was the most memorable – a real leg-strength challenge, but definitely worth it! The inbound downhill section is no problem, but those over 155cm should be careful as there are many sections where you have to bend over. They provide helmets⛑️, so you'll hear a lot of "clapping" sounds, which is quite amusing! The return uphill section is a real test of leg strength and knees. We, who are used to exercising, took about 5-10 minutes to get back to the entrance without stopping, but the group members, with their stops, took an average of 20 minutes! The Pope's Bread was quite delicious and worth trying! Many thanks to our tour guides, Fang Hong (김홍조) and Lina, for their attentive explanations of history on the bus, their supplementary explanations during site visits, and their help with taking photos 📷. The whole day's itinerary went very smoothly, making it an unforgettable trip for us!
