Our driver/guide, Mr. Kim, was gentle, polite, and attentive, making the entire trip very smooth. If I were to arrange it again, I think two attractions a day would be enough; the Samaksan Ropeway and Nami Island were fantastic! I feel we could spend more time on Nami Island, and the tranquil Arboretum at night could be skipped.
1/ Everyone was punctual throughout the trip, from the pre-departure meeting to the end of each activity. Excellent performance! 2/ Pick-up was at three locations: 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30. Each activity point was about a 1-1.5 hour drive, allowing ample time to catch up on sleep after the early morning meeting and the previous days' sightseeing. 3/ As we were staying in Seoul, it would have been difficult to complete the entire trip independently using public transportation. I highly recommend arranging a day for this tour during your trip. 4/ I felt the stop times at each tourist spot were appropriate. Gangmi Ice Valley isn't large; it only takes about 3-5 minutes to walk there. It looks spectacular in photos, but in reality, it's rather sparse. PS: After getting off the bus, the tour guide suggested buying basic crampons at the nearby shop, in case it's slippery. I recommended buying them, and indeed, 3-4 people slipped and fell. They'll also be useful on Nami Island! After feeding the alpacas, we strolled around the park. However, apart from feeding the alpacas and visiting the bunny area, the rest of the park felt rather empty. There was only one horse and a camel. None of the park's "activities and performances" were happening. Before heading to Nami Island, we had lunch here, which was an optional extra – a "Chuncheon Chicken Experience." It was likely that we would be seated in groups of four, perhaps with other members of our tour group whom we didn't know well. However, I noticed there were still empty seats, and the restaurant was still arranging for groups of four. Although the tour guide later helped us get to empty tables, I sensed the disappointment of those tourists. Nami Island requires a ferry ride, which takes about 5-10 minutes. The scenery is basically to the right and forward. It's the famous view featured on the cover. You can also buy "giant cotton candy" in the shop there to soften at the campfire area, but it's sold in a large bag. It might be too much for two people, so it's better to share with others. (One shop sells coffee, cotton candy, and microwaveable sweet potatoes; another sells fish cakes.) Because it's colder on Nami Island than on the main island, we wanted to wait for the return ferry even before it departed. 5/ Thank you, tour guide. Thank you, driver. We hope you all have a safe and smooth trip.
This skiing trip was truly fantastic! The overall schedule went smoothly. We went skiing on December 25th, Christmas Day. Since Christmas is a holiday for Koreans, our director asked us to arrive early and leave early, so the journey was very smooth. The guide explained the snow conditions: some of the snow in Korea is artificial, so it tends to be quite firm. Sam deserves special praise for his professional and meticulous teaching. He took turns guiding each student individually and also helped with taking photos, resulting in beautiful and unforgettable memories. It would have been even better if we had taken more photos! The process involved going to the equipment and purchasing additional gear meeting point, then changing ski boots and getting skis, and finally the rest area. Overall, some core training is necessary; otherwise, it's difficult to achieve the planned goals.
It was really great, the scenery was beautiful, and the tour guide was very professional. I would definitely go again if I could.
