Inokashira Pond

I was a little nervous when I booked this because it was available before the official tickets opened, but I was never going to get my family of 4 in on the international visitor lottery, I couldn't have four computers open for one. I booked this and crossed my fingers. I am so pleased to report that we made it there. Our tour guide was LOVELY and walked us through Kichichoji (which looks like a pretty hip town with lots of vintage stores), Inoshikara Park (which I would never have seen without this tour) and a really beautiful shrine on the pond which looks like it is from a movie. There was no issue getting into Ghibli. Once we arrived we were all issued our tickets as part of a tour group, and we were in!! We got to see the short film. My kids played in the cat-bus. I got to see the set up of Miyazakis artistic environment and process and buy gifts. Thank you so much!!
